Altaf Hussain terms civil disobedience call dangerous

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that desecration of Benazir Bhutto’s monument in Rawalpindi is regretful.

Addressing a massive gathering here on Sunday, Altaf Hussain said that Benazir Bhutto had rendered her life for the cause of democracy.

He said that Nawaz Sharif’s return to the country had also become possible due to the slain PPP leader.

“It will be dangerous to preach the people for civil disobedience under the pretext of protest,” he added.

MQM chief alleged that PMN-N had deceived the MQM in 1992 by launching an operation against them. He urged Nawaz Sharif to end the politics of confrontation and adopt reconciliatory approach.

“MQM is ready to mediate if Nawaz Sharif is willing,” he offered.
